Hailing from the city of Manchester via Bolton, The Furs are a new 4 piece band playing in whatever venues we can to make a name for ourselves. with influences including Ocean Colour Scene, Stereophonics and trains to and from Bolton, they play music to anyone who’ll tap their feet, clap their hands or even full on rave if it takes their fancy.

Soapbox Performance at Chester’s Water Tower

Chester’s 700 year-old Water Tower, located on the city’s ancient walls, will host Rebecca Joy Sharp’s The Mystery Workshop – a set of original folk-influenced harp compositions, followed by a captivating performance of Eleanor Rees’s acclaimed poem Eliza and the Bear, performed by Cathy Butterworth and Rebecca Joy Sharp.
Soapbox presents fresh, new innovative work by a wide variety of professional artists, in some of Chester’s more unusual venues – roman ruins, crypts, vaults bars and warehouses.
Pre and post show drinks will be available from Telford’s Warehouse.
