Race Horses continue the fine tradition of Welsh psychedelic pop. Their recent single, ‘Cake’, manages to sound both like a lost West Coast classic and simultaneously ‘now’. The recent sell-out crowd at the Eisteddfod in Bala would validate Race Horses’ modernity: the end of the set mutated into a frazzled techno wig out… definitely unexpected. If they do the same at Telfords Warehouse then expect one hell of a fabulous show. Accompanied by DJ Adam Walton and his Pet Sounds this night will surely have electricity in the air.
