Tom Durkin & The Rusty Cadillacs are a band that express contemporary ideas through the traditional music forms of both Folk and Country. The Bangor and Chester based band, Ramble around the country and the North of Wales, playing unique and entertaining shows no matter how small or big the venue may be.

Influence by great American artists and songwriters such as Woody Guthrie and Bob Dylan, Tom Durkin tries hard to be as honest and as socially accurate as possible in his lyrics. And what finer thing to do it over than a young attractive female backing vocalist, Robyn Page and demon Banjo player, Ben Smith.

Matt Nicholls is something of a newcomer to the world of folk music. Hailing from Wrexham, North Wales, he has been playing acoustic guitar and singing since the age of eleven and for many years has fronted the indie rock band Camera.

This weeks open mic is hosted by Lord Scotland spin off Billy Pilgrim. Expect chugging blues and face melting solos from this Chester duo.

A New Year a new host. Alx Green has been slowly worming his way into the acoustic circuit with his tastefully preformed covers and original material. We welcome our new host and anyone else to take to the Telford’s stage for Chester’s longest running open mic night.

Emily & Jo picked up their paintbrushes and proceeded to create a series of earnestly peculiar lyrics and sunny folk-pop melodies, splattered with adorable harmonies and contagious catchiness. With a healthy dose of welsh heart from guitarist ‘The Lovebites’, the Braves are sure to get your toes tapping. Expect to be charmed by flute solos, feverish guitar riffs, hypnotic hands and a ukulele named Fiona.
