The Fifth Movement with support Science Of The Lamps [+]

Thursday 15 March – Free Entry

With DJ Ono

“Beautiful stuff” – Dave Monks, BBC Introducing

A film score. With vocals. Or should that be lyrics, with a soundtrack?

However you describe it, The Fifth Movement are satisfyingly original, with music that reflects the diverse influences of the group’s founding members, singer-songwriter Kevin Critchley and cellist/composer Luke Moore. With a defiance to stand out against a backdrop of those bands that prefer to imitate than innovate, the band have grown into a five piece that has expanded on several occasions to include an 8 piece string section and small choir.

With a wholeThe Fifth Movement have had the pleasure of supporting James Walsh (Starsailor), Seth Lakeman, Mark Morriss (Bluetones), Mica Paris, Ian McNabb and Amsterdam. The band have also appeared on BBC Radio Merseyside, BBC Radio Wales and several other stations.
The band are currently recording their new album, produced by Gary Lloyd (Shy & The Fight, Chemistry Lane, Alan Moore’s “Brought to Light”) and featuring special guests including Greta Svabo Bech (Picture Book, Deadmau5’s “Raise Your Weapon”) and Christoph Demetriou (Jessicas Ghost, The Counting Crows, Seal).
The Fifth Movement bring their unique blend of soundtrack rock/folk/world music to Telfords Warehouse on the 15th March
