Led Into Zeplin logo

Having formed just over 12 months ago Led Into Zeppelin are fast becoming known as the ‘ultimate tribute’ to one of the greatest Rock bands of all time.

Replicating perfectly the power and subtlety of Led Zeppelin at their brilliant best, let timeless classics such as Kashmir, Whole Lotta Love, Stairway To Heaven and many more, take you on a nostalgic evening of outstanding musicianship, all performed in the context where the songs work best, a live stage.

Being described as the closest sound alike to Robert Plant “so close it’s scary”, the band are also experienced musicians working with the likes of Jamiroquai, Simply Red, Craig David, Stone Roses to name a few. Led Into Zeppelin go the whole hog and even use authentic 1970’s costume to give you the feeling of reliving an age where rock was god.

Open Mic Session + The Lonesome Southern Comfort Company [+]

Free Entry

Open mic as usual but with a headline performance from Switzerland’s ‘Lonesome Southern Comfort Company’ Here’s a bit about them…

The Lonesome Southern Comfort Company

LSCC

The Lonesome Southern Comfort Company was founded in 2006 as solo-project of John Robbiani (guitar, vocals and history enthusiast).

The solo part became less lonesome when John decided to rent a studio, gather some friends and label-mates (including Peter Kernel, Lake Nation and Far from the Madding Crowd) and hit rec. Giving birth to the first self-titled album “Lonesome Southern Comfort Company” (published in August 2008, On The Camper Records). A country-folk rush just in time for a political “outing” a couple of months before the 2008 U.S. elections. After-which, as all structures take form, LSCC completed itself with the arrival of Duke (drums), Abraham (guitar) and Boris (viola).

In 2010 LSCC released “Charles The Bold” – a combination of alternative-americana-indie-rock and history. The album was inspired by Charles le Téméraire, duke of Burgundy and his battles against the Swiss in 1477 (sound cool? well it is.). With this album the band began touring Europe seriously and matured into an acid-psychedelic live performance.

The fantastic new album “The Big Hunt” was released on September 30th 2013 in Europe (October 30th 2013 in the UK). The new 9-track album is a combination of alternative-country folk with electronic influences. Loyal history traveling through the air with recorded memoirs and daring tales.

LSCC will be touring “The Big Hunt” this fall across Europe (Spain, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland) and in November they’ll hit the UK for the first time. Beware.

Wizz Jones & John Renbourn [+]

Tuesday 25th February 2014

Tickets £12

Two of the giants of the British folk blues golden era join forces for a gig at Telford’s Warehouse in Chester, on Tuesday, 25th February.

Wizz Jones began his musical career at the age of 18 leading a country and skiffle band called The Wranglers. Having learned most of his blues licks from Long John Baldry and Davy Graham whilst playing in the coffee bars of  Soho, Wizz followed the time honoured trail – busking throughout Europe with many different musicians including at one time a budding young bluesman named Rod Stewart.

John Renbourn is a musician of an exceptional kind, combining an insight into the techniques of musical structure with an instrumental command and a sense of aesthetic adventurism, which together make him one of the most refreshing, not to say skilled and tasteful guitarists, to grace our ears today.
