REPENT feat. Dirty Vertebrae [+]

Free Entry

Dirty Vertebrae

Dirty Vertebrea 1

Formed in late 2012 from the remnants of some of the northwest’s finest and most established bands, and combined for the first time during auditions and songwriting, the pieces slotted together perfectly and the band was born.
Dirty Vertebrae truly are the musical manifestation of Avengers: Assemble, each member as strong as the next, with unique skill sets and performance styles, there simply is no weak link in the chain, and as a democracy there is no ego or chain of command, every member utilising a vast wealth of live experience and creative energy…

Dirty Vertebrae are a genuine bunch of powerful players with a passion for producing original and exciting music.
Burning in unison, an intense flame, ever growing, ever waiting to ignite every stage they grace with a fury and explosion of unique chemistry.
You might have heard of the members from their previous conquests:

Ash P (Vocals) – Skinless Finger
Nicole (Vocals) – Parlaya
Arab (Guitar) – Laffin, K-Hole
Gaz (Bass) – Skinless Finger
Scott (Drums) – K-Hole

Dirty Vertebrae’s style ranges from Rock, Rap, Ska, Funk and Metal. The two vocalists interact seamlessly with quick-fire rap and harmonious vocals.
Have you ever seen a male rapper and female singer (femcee) rapping in Italian and English? I didn’t think so.
Every member of this band become wild beasts as soon as they hit the stage. You haven’t seen or heard anything like this…until now.

REPENT feat. Scaredycats [+]

Free Entry

Scaredycats

Scaredycats

Scaredycats are an original four piece band based on the Wirral. Jim Pearson (guitar/vocals), Steve Wale (bass/vocals), Andy Jacobson (keyboard, ex-Muffinmen) and Richard Hocknell (drums) formed the band at the end of 2014 and have recently played at TVHC, Zanzibar and Chester Mayfest.

In the words of one punter… “Nothing timid about the Scaredycats’ gig last night – more like sabre-tooth tigers! They looked like a kaleidoscope of Dr. Who characters through the ages and transformed the Village Club in Thornton Hough into an auditory Tardis. Jim Pearson’s off the wall lyrics & talent-ridden tunes nailed in a tight-knit band, complete with moog synthesizer and bass player with perfect harmonies.”

Jed Is Dead

Jed Is Dead are a band who fuse elements of indie-rock, electro, synthpop and dubstep to create a sound that has been described by critics as energetic, intense and unique. Having formed in 2010 as a traditional guitar-based rock band, a mutual love of all things electronic soon emerged as the band began to reinvent their material using sequencers and samplers. The resulting sound has proved popular with live event organisers and club promoters alike, leading to support slots with 65daysofstatic, Death in Vegas, The Orb, Pop Will Eat Itself and Sonic Boom Six. Known for their dynamic performances, Jed Is Dead are a band who exist to be heard live and at high volume.

Alx Green

Alx Green

“Though Alx has been playing in bands for many years, it was only relatively recently he started to indulge his love for acoustic based music, and we’re very glad he did. The 24 year old self-taught musician grew up heavily influenced by his musical parents and began playing guitar at a very young age.

His latest EP ‘It won’t last’ was recently released just before a week-long tour of London playing a different venue every night to share his music with new audiences, the final night being at the Natural History Museum!

Marrying skilful songwriting with delicate arrangement and performance, but with a vocal capable of travelling from soft and intimate, to huge soaring dynamics, his music is evocative of classic acoustic songwriting, but with a new, fresh voice”

Amber Liana Prothero

Amber is a talented singer / songwriter and guitarist from Chester. She blends powerful, yet delicate vocals with soulful melodies drawing on a range of influences past and present.

DJ support is provided this month by Ole Smokey and the Schott’s list.
